Why are logic board replacements always a source of grief?

Just what is it, anyway, with the times when you have to get a logic board in a computer replaced? Is it only an Apple Macintosh thing? Every single encounter I’ve had with the procedure has resulted in some sort of complication.

Delicious Library improvements forthcoming

Back in late May, I wrote to Delicious Monster the following:
Good job with DL2. Two comments:

*Please* consider putting the information pane back on the right side, or give the option to do so.
HTML export needs to ignore articles (A, An, The) and such when sorting.

Today, they replied, not that I really expected a reply:
